Go behind the scenes of one of our Birds and Sealion Displays. It is not all show business, as you will find out, when working alongside the Bird Display Arena and Sealion Facility staff at our displays at either Flamingoland, Knowsley Safari Park, Pleasurewood Hills and Pleasure Island theme parks.

As the Trainer for the Day we will keep you entertained and occupied with all the activities on offer. You will be busy from 9.30am until 3.30pm, with the remainder of the day yours to explore the rest of the attractions in the park at your leisure.

Take part in the training of the birds and sealions and assist in the maintenance, cleaning and enrichment of their environment. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and learn to enjoy the smell of fishy hands!

Activities may include:

Pool maintenance and cleaning.
Fish and food supplement preparation
Feeding sealions.
Pen and poolside cleaning
Take part in sealion training
Assisting with the public during the Display
Meet and Greet one of the Sealions
Aviary cleaning and Enrichment
Bird weighing and record keeping
Assisting in Bird Training
Bird Food Preparation
Assisting with public display presentation
Meet your favourite birds
Feeding birds at the end of their working day

Additional Information:

Bring Wellies and Waterproofs and wear dark blue or brown combat trousers. A uniform top will be provided.

This is a new and exciting way of enjoying one of our animal displays. Due to the content of the job the Trainer for the Day experience is only open to those16 years old and above.
